Check in time is 3:00pm. Check out time is 12:00pm.
Payment
Payment is expected in full upon arrival. We accept personal checks, company checks, money orders or cashier checks. There will be a service charge on all returned checks. The service charge will be based on the current bank charges.
Cancellations
Burts-Nest asks for a 10 day notice of cancellation. Cancellations made in time will be fully refunded. Cancellations after the 10 day period forfeit $200.00 deposit. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR EARLY DEPARTURES.
Upon Arrival
- Keys
- The key to the house is located in a security lock box at the front door. This box has a push button type of lock combination. The combination for your booking will be given to you by phone or e-mail after your final payment, cleaning and security deposit have been received. Remember to put the key back in the lock box and lock the door when you are leaving! There will be a second house key, for your convenience, on the kitchen counter. Upon departure, please remember to leave this key were you found it. If you lose any of the keys which were supplied to you, the cost of re-keying the house as well as replacing multiple sets of keys will be deducted from your security deposit.
- Furnace
- Turn the furnace heater thermostat to desired temperature setting, when applicable. Thermostat is located in the down stairs hallway and upstairs in the hallway.
During Your Stay
- * Smoking is not allowed in this home. No exceptions.
- * Burts-Nest is not and cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Pets
- There are no pets allowed. Having pets in this rental unit will cause you to lose your security deposit.
- Telephone
- The provided telephones will make local calls and will access emergency (911) calls. It will not dial information, long distance or zone calls. You can make long distance or zone calls by calling your party collect or by using your calling card.
- Fireplace
- Is gas and requires no special attention.
- Dish Detergent
- There is dishwashing soap and dishwasher detergent under the kitchen sink for washing the dishes during your stay.
- Cleaning Supplies
- There are cleaning supplies under the kitchen cabinet and bathroom cabinets for your convenience. Beyond normal usage, if any major spills occur on the kitchen cabinets or kitchen appliances, please clean them immediately. There is also carpet cleaner under the kitchen cabinet for use on spills on the carpet. If a spill occurs on the carpet, please clean it immediately. Any additional, excessive cleaning provided by the cleaning service to clean large or resistant stains on cabinets, appliances and carpets will be deducted from your security deposit.
- * You will find an initial supply of soap, paper products, and shampoo to get you started. Please to not remove any items from the unit.
Upon Departure
- Furnace
- When preparing for departure, Please be sure that the furnace thermostats are both set together to the lowest setting on the furnace then press "HOLD TEMP" button. DO NOT TURN THE THERMOSTAT OFF! This could cause the water pipes to freeze in the wintertime.
- Fireplace
- Make sure to turn the fireplace off.
- Dishes
- Make sure all dishes and silverware are washed and returned to kitchen cabinets.
- Linens
- Make sure all bath linens are left in the bathrooms, kitchen towels and dish cloths in the kitchen. Note: An inventory of specific items is performed prior to your arrival and after your departure. The cost to replace any missing or damaged items will be deducted from your security deposit.
- Doors/Windows
- Please be sure all doors and windows are securely closed and locked, making sure to leave the keys were you found them.
- Furniture
- return any furniture you may have moved to it's original position.
- Appliances/Refrigerator
- Be sure that all TV's, radios and appliances are turned off, except for the refrigerator. Don't forget to remove all food from the refrigerator and take it with you.
- Beds
- Please do not re-make any of the beds that you have used during your stay. Our cleaning staff needs to easily identify which beds were used during your stay.
- Lights
- Make sure that all lights, inside and out, are turned off.
- Personal Belongings
- Please be sure that you have collected all of your personal belongings and take them with you. If the need arises for us to have to mail anything to you that you left behind, you will be charged a $15.00 administrative fee and the cost of mailing.
As we have no control over such situations, no refunds will be issued for weather, snow or road conditions, power, satellite television or telephone outages, or any acts of nature. There is no guarantee made as to the condition or quality of televisions and appliances, and no credit or refund will be issued for these items, although every attempt will be made to put them in proper working order.
